2008年9月26、27日，在生命科学学院生物楼101教室，教育部“春晖计划”旅澳学者举行了精彩的学术报告。

周雪荣博士的报告题为：《From gene to novel oil》；李忠谊博士的报告题为：《Study of the roles of genes in cereal starch biosynthesis using reverse genetics approach》；王朝晖博士的报告题为：《Analysing changes in gene expression in root_knot nematode feeding cell》；陈景龙博士的报告题为：《Two forms of IL_3 receptor alpha regulate growth and differentiation in haematopietic and leukemic cells》；闫桂军博士的报告题为：《Ecological studies and conservation of Australian native plants》。

生命科学学院副院长赵吉教授、生物系系主任陈贵林教授分别主持学术报告会，生命科学学院院长王迎春教授、生命科学学院部分教师和研究生参加了此次学术报告会。
