李佳智博士在攻克CRISPR-Cas获得性免疫系统未解决难题、探索tRNA甲基化转移酶工作机制和分子靶向药物筛选等方面作出了创新性工作。从蛋白质-核酸复合物的功能及生物学意义的研究视角出发,着眼于蛋白质/酶与核酸底物识别、互作和活性调节等分子机理,为探究关键的生物学过程、致病机理和基于生物大分子结构的药物研发提供了新的依据。以第一作者(含共同)在Cell、Nature和Nature Structural & Molecular Biology等期刊发表论文,研究成果在国内外学术界获得了高度评价和广泛关注。
